How does the calculator simplify fractions?
It divides the numerator and denominator by their greatest common divisor, so 6/8 becomes 3/4 and 10/5 becomes 2. The answer is always shown in lowest terms.
Can it handle negative fractions and whole numbers?
Yes. Type a minus sign in the numerator for a negative fraction, and use a denominator of 1 for a whole number, for example 5/1 to represent 5.
What is a mixed number?
A mixed number combines a whole number with a proper fraction, like 1 1/2 instead of 3/2. The calculator shows both forms so you can use whichever fits.
